Assorted 2yo Apple Trees

$25.00

We graft our own apple trees from apple varieties grown here in Alaska. We overwinter them in pots to ensure their hardiness and then sell them the next spring. They are typically 18″-24″ tall.  We have a variety of different apples available, including standard reliable apple varieties like “Norland,” “Parkland,” and “Kerr.” We also often have very rare varieties only grown by a handful of people in Alaska. We have moved away from grafting apples with Baccata, a standard Russian crabapple rootstock. We now use Bud 118, a rootstock that grows much faster. Our trees on Bud 118 have never suffered any winter damage and have proven to be an excellent choice for rootstock in southcentral Alaska. If you live in a particularly cold location, like Willow, we can’t guarantee their hardiness, but our trees have just fine in locations in Wasilla and Palmer. Our trees will start producing apples in 2-4 years from planting. Plants should be planted in full sun and protected from moose and voles. Sold in 1-3 gallon trade pots.
